Yup, it sounds like we're saying the same thing. Explore vs. exploit invovles oscilating between learning (exploring) and being in your "sweet spot" (exploiting).

Multi-armed bandit algorithms are the classic example where there are rules, but it's really interesting to think about how to apply this concept to real life. I think learning vs. being in your sweet spot is a tangible example.

Regarding the books, I've read 12 rules for life and really enjoyed it. I will 100% check out the Almanack - haven't heard of it but looks really cool.
